Sentry SL

The project, in a nutshell

Sentry have developed patented Smart Leads (SL), which integrate GPS tracking technology within the physical electric cables and plugs of high value items such as caravans/campervans, plant machinery, motor boats, etc. This ground breaking and innovative technology allows any registered SL device to be traced in the event of theft, while also being able activate immobilisation, and location geofencing to trigger an alert should the device move outside of its designated location.

Having already developed the hardware technology, Sentry had built a lightweight customer portal which needed to be taken to the next level commercially. Sentry approached Bad Dinosaur to design and develop a bespoke application where customers can manage their Smart Lead devices as well as their subscription and subscription upgrades. The platform we built also includes login access for original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and Smart Lead installers to test and manage pre-sale Smart Leads within the system.

The platform has had a dramatic impact on the commercial viability of the Smart Lead proposition. By including subscription upgrades, Sentry can now drive growth through customer acquisition, and offer a polished and intuitive app experience to both their commercial clients and customer end-users.
