Since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic virtual meetings have become second nature in the business world, enabling geography to be broken down as a barrier for conducting meetings and collaborating on projects. In this blog we examine some of the additional benefits virtual collaboration can offer and why you don’t necessarily need to meet with your agency in-person.
Before the pandemic the vast majority of Bad Dinosaur clients were based in Scotland, specifically around the central belt, close to where both our offices are located. Over the past 24 months we have seen a change in this trend, our clients are now based across the whole of the UK.
Here are some of the main advantages we believe come from working with an agency remotely:
A wider talent pool. Having access to a wider talent pool can be especially advantageous if you are wanting to develop a very specific app product. You can search wider to look for an agency with specific expertise, ask for case studies to see examples of previous work.
Increased cost effectiveness. Historically, agencies in and around London tend to charge higher day rates for work than those based outside the capital city. There are many reasons for this, including a higher cost of living within the London area. If you are prepared to work with an agency on a remote basis it is likely that you will be able to take advantage of cheaper day rates to build your product while not compromising on quality.
Expand your network. Partnering with organisations further away from where you are based will offer opportunities to expand your network and connections, potentially leading to new business opportunities
